Alien Collective Alien Novels Gini Koch Books

Alien Collective opens a year after Alien Research, and everyone is still reeling from actions that took place there. Everyone is still having trouble with what happened, and I liked that those events weren't ignored or just brushed aside and forgotten. I just wanted to give Chuckie a great big hug throughout the book. My feelings have come along way since he was introduced. I can't believe I didn't like him for at least 3 books! He's now one of my favorites. One of the things I love best about this series is that Gini does a great job of recapping past operations that Kitty and everyone has been on. There was a lot of that going on in this book, but honestly, it's book 9 and my memory isn't what it used to be so I'm glad they were there--otherwise I think I would've been a bit lost. I also love how all the characters I've come to love (and hate *cough*Amy*cough*) make an appearance some way or another in this book. That's say a lot, considering how big the cast has gotten!

Jeff has come a long way from being head of the field department, and is now being considered as a possible vice presidential candidate. That doesn't stop the action from finding Kitty-new enemies along with some old ones, pop up making life harder for everyone. Actions from past books come back to haunt them and they have to answer for them. I wondered when that would happen-and once again I loved how not everything is easy for the gang. They have all come a very long way since Touched By An Alien.

This book took me longer then usual to read, but that was because I was busy thinking and taking notes the whole time I was reading and I haven't done that in a long time. That is mainly because I am being driven crazy trying to figure out who the mastermind could be. Heck, even Reader and MJO (Mister Joel Oliver) made my list at one point. I love that just as soon as you think you what direction the story will take, you are thrown loop after loop and nothing ever turns out the way you think it will.

Alien Collective does not work at all as a stand alone, and I now am going to have to do a re-read of the entire series for clues as to who the mastermind is, lets just say that Universal Alien can not come out soon enough for me! (You think being the authors assistant would give me a little edge in the clue department, but nope, it gives me none!! Can you believe that????)

I got an advanced copy of this book from the publisher for a fair and balanced review.

Alien Collective Alien Novels Gini Koch Books Reviews

Just finished Alien Collective and loved it - or, you know - routine. Chaos surrounds Kitty, Jeff, Jamie, Chuckie, et al., and as in all the books in this series Gina's writing is detailed and fast paced. Love reading how Kitty determines the bad guys' plans - and how her brain works to stop them. This book is full of all the characters we've come to know and introduces some very unusual ones (hough not unexpected if you've followed Gina's storyline). Alien Collective has Jeff running for vice president and of course the bad guys are on the opposing, anti-alien ticket. Naturally, before the big climax, shenanigans abound. Can't wait to see what happens in September's Universal Alien!
It feels like I waited forever for this book to get here! The wait was worth it. Ms Koch did an excellent job of getting readers up to speed on all the players, it has been awhile. You got to love the new characters in this one. Always a surprising new ability or two. What a twist with "Sandy" in the action. The action was there as always. The jams that
"Mrs. Chief" gets into look so hopeless. I loved how we are NOT left hanging in this book as is always the case for Mrs. Koch's books. The length was also excellent, not a novelette! I am looking forward to the next one. Hurry please!
Just finished Alien Collective by the marvelously talented Gini Koch....and I am already ready for the next book.....no matter, I hear the next one, Universal Alien, will be released in December 2014. To those who are devoted fans of this series, I can only say, Long Live Kitty and Jeff......to those who have somehow managed to not read this series...I urge you to get it and settle in for kickass adventure, hilarity, off the wall entertainment....lovers of sci fi action adventure will love this series. Thank you, Gini Koch, for another great peek into the lives of Kitty and Jeff and gang. I loved it and highly recommend to those who love a great and entertaining adventure.
Once again Kitty Katt-Martini and her assorted family, friends, and teammates are fighting evil on many fronts, including political rivals of her husband Jeff, who may become the vice presidential running mate for Senator Armstrong, the strong front runner going into the National Convention. With lots of danger, suspense and mystery, and enemies old and new, the story speeds along to come to a very satisfying conclusion, with everything working out just as it should. I love this series and always look forward to reading more adventures.
Alien Collective is #9, and Gini Koch is still keeping up the headlong pace. The new characters are way interesting, and I'm impressed at how Koch helps us keep track of all the characters who've accumulated, including new enemies, aliens, and androids.

It's fortunate that Kitty has family, friends, colleagues, and the critters to help her--I so love the Poofs and Prince. It was even fun having Bellie, the parrot, stop in. The danger is practically non-stop and includes aliens with their own agenda, javelinas, toxic gas, quicksand, water, and bombs.

Kitty's uncles are back, among others, and the action is all over the map so that no place is safe, and they can never relax. And now there's a blender thrown into the mix... The gang's all here--except for those no longer with us; the dialogue often makes me smile, and I love the characters--except for the nasties--and sometimes it's hard to know who they are...

As always, Kitty and Jeff do make time for themselves, though that's not easy. Geez, how does that work at hyperspeed? So, remember, adult content too.
